Taking pictures has changed dramatically in the last 10 years.  First you dont have to worry about film cost.  In digital photography you can take 10 times as many pictures as you would  need.  Throw away the ones you don’t like with the click of a button at no cost.

Remember, the more pictures you take, the better you would become at it.  First get your camera out and charged, make sure you have copied all the pictures to the computer so the memory card is empty, and get ready to shoot and have fun.   If you own a point and click camera, you can use the auto function and let the camera do all the adjustments and cauculation for you.  Its good to know some basic features though.  

Make sure you spend some time bonding with your camera. If you don’t own a nice camera or need to upgrade to a newer model but don’t want to spend a fortune on it, buying refurbished digital cameras is the way to.  I personally like them because I end up dropping them or my kid end up doing something with it when they finally hunt it down.

 I have tried everything.  I look them in the eye and tell them how important it is for me.  That it is not a toy.  I dont however spank them or anything harsh that might stop them from becoming a great photographer some day.  Look my 3 year old has his own camera.  

So when he sees mine guess what it is more attractive than candy.  He is very careful with it when I do show the functions to it.  But he is a 3 year old.  He doesnot have all the motor coordination to absolute be in control while holding it and taking pictures unsupervised.  If you have kids like mine – buy refurbished or newly used. 

The other reason to find deals like this is that I love great deals. Its money you saved.  Remember a refurbished digital camera better be factory refurbished.  Not something refurbished by the neighborhood shoe maker.  Buy them from reputable dealers or auction sites such as Ebay from sellerss with good ratings only.

I personally look for at least a hundred feedbacks. Use Paypal and get additional automatic protection.  Make sure they atleast have a 30 Day warranty.  And when they arrive check them thoroughly and give the battery a prolonged use test.
